Then today’s your lucky day – below you’ll find a list with each denim brand and the sizing recommendation – either True to Size, Slightly Small/Large 1/2 Size Small/Large, One Size Small/Large or Two Sizes Small/Large. Denim of Virtue is tts, esp with the 1% stretch in them. I have to say Current/Elliott is tts for me too, given the whole musclar lower area. I wear a 28 in The Straight. Haven’t tried a skinny in them, but for those of us girls that carry some heft in the lower region due to extreme sports, etc., unless you know for sure you can size down or go tts in a skinny, I’d size up and get the waist taken in.

Dollhouse. I know this one. It’s almost two sizes smaller.

I wear size 6 and I tried on a size 7 from the brand dollhouse. It fitted like a size 5. I could button it up but it was really too small for me. I first thought that I had gained weight so I tried on 5 different brands pair of jeans, size 6 or 7. They all fitted, quite loose sometimes. So really, Dollhouse is two size smaller!

I know these are for women’s jeans, but for men’s jeans this list is inaccurate.

For example, my Armani Exchange jeans (ok, I know it’s not Armani Jeans, but close enough) in size 28 seem to be spot on with size 28 at Club Monaco (not included in your list). Both my AX and Club Monaco size 28 jeans and dress pants fit me exceptionally.

A size 28 7 for All Mankind jeans also fit me, though it felt tighter than both AX and Club Monaco. Luckily, 7 jeans are kind of elastic.

However, a size 28 Marc by Marc Jacobs jeans wouldn’t fit me at all. Couldn’t even zip up or button. So I went for a size 29 — I could fit now, but felt extremely restricted. The LARGER 29 size still definitely tighter than the SMALLER 28 sizes at AX and Club Monaco and even 7 for All Mankind.

All of these jeans were skinny jeans.

I would say Marc by Marc Jacobs is two sizes too small for men at least. I haven’t tried a size 30, but ugh, return shipping so many times is killing me.

I am confused. What does “one size small” mean? That you should order/buy 1 size smaller than you normally would so that if you normally wear a 25 you should get a 24?

Or does it mean it runs 1 size smaller meaning if you wear a 25 then you should get a 26?

Just adding up for the Calvin Klein Jeans which are true to size, or sometimes half a size larger. It depends. Usually, they’re true to size!

Thank you for posting this! I would like to buy a pair of MiH Marrakesh jeans but I don’t know about sizing based on this. I am a size 28 in the Paige Hidden Hills and Skyline in most of their washes (they all fit a little tight in the legs but comfy in the stomach). I am a 28 in Joe’s too. Any suggestions?

I generally wear a 28 in 7 for all mankind (except when I get the Gwenevere, then I go for the 27), but definitely need a 29 in MiH. I just bought a pair of Marrakesh (Kara wash) and it’s still a bit snug in the tummy and thigh area.

What is I wear anywhere from a 7 – 13 in some styles but then Silvers I were a 30-31. I am so confused!!

My boyfriend wears Energie. He’s really thin, and it’s pretty much the only brand that fits him well. So I’d say one size small (he’s 6’4″, has a 30 inch waist).

Miss Sixty runs a bit smaller than normal, depending on the style. You might want to add Bebe and Express… Express runs true (I’m a 00 at Express and I’m 23 inches at Guess), Bebe might run a bit small around the hips, so I’d say one size small (I’m 25 there, and the sizes run from 24).

I have wider hips than an average consumer who’d wear (I’m 5’9″), so what fits well for me (Miss Sixty, Express, Guess) might run a bit bigger for a girl of 5’4″.

I purchased a pair of J.Brands that were a size up than I normally wear and they were still too tight.

Most jeans I can wear in a 29-30 but I couldn’t get a 31 to fit in the legs or butt.

Okay, this may sound like I am over thinking this or not thinking at all, but how the heck does “true to size” help when there are no measurement figures provided? When they use 6, 8, 10, etc. or SM, MED, LG and do not provide measurements then you have no idea what TTS means. Why does the clothing industry make this so freaking hard – an inch is an inch on everyone, they should all be required to supply measurements on all size charts. How difficult can this be for them anyway, for Pete’s sake!?

Hello there! I have lots of Blank NYC jeans, and I usually wear size 26 in spray on skinnies..I would like to purchase Paige Skyline Ankle Peg Jeans, any suggestions which size is the best for me? Any response is greately appreciated, thank you!
