Read about the campaign (as well as new styles from True Religion) after the jump!

As the premier name in luxury American denim, True Religion celebrates freedom, love and the art of rock and roll with a diverse collection for Spring/Summer 2012. Incorporating the iconic brand’s love of adventure with outstanding craftsmanship, the season is inspired by four wild-at-heart archetypes: restless wanderer; boho darling; sleek and stealthy maverick; rebel who knows no bounds. Filled with wonder and wanderlust, these soulful spirits are not afraid to conquer uncharted territory (and look great in the process).

Their ethos is to be rebellious and free, and the same holds true for their daily denim uniform that is cool yet casual, edgy but not overt. The Spring/Summer 2012 season marks an important evolution in True Religion’s history with expanded categories to fit the whimsical desires of our restless muses. The new offerings channel the heritage of the brand while providing chic, modern silhouettes focused on detail-oriented design and effortless, wearable attire.

LONESTAR | A well-stocked category for the wayfaring spirit, Lonestar is comprised of traditional rises and cuts—including cropped and skinny, as well as fitted and flared—in a variety of boldly dyed color ways. The pastel-hued denim is key component of the Spring season. Pleated-front jackets and the brand’s signature cutoff shorts round out the group. All pieces feature a new, understated version of the True Religion horseshoe emblem on the back pockets and quality copper hardware.

PHANTOM | Launched last fall, the Phantom group is a one of a kind style produced at Cone Mills in North Carolina—one of the oldest denim mills in the world. The Cone Mills selvage denim is True Religion’s most exclusive design with smooth, clean lines and exacting fit. The washes (ranging from dark indigo to stark white) are adorned with customized seams in red, white and blue and a discreet but poignant hand-stitched American flag motif above the right pocket.

COLOR | The Wanderer loves to make a statement: bright red, yellow and green jeans add color to her wardrobe. The overall look is washed-in and worn, in keeping with her laid-back style. This extends to the brand’s new lightweight corduroys for the season.

LOVE AND HAIGHT | Inspired by San Francisco’s famed Haight-Ashbury district during the counterculture 1960s, this category features vintage denim reworked into patchwork bellbottoms, short slouchy bib overalls, and the cutoff shorts in a mix of light and dark washes. Look for exciting developments in the Love and Haight category during Fall 2012, leading up to True Religion’s 10-year anniversary.

TROUSERS | A ’70s-era silhouette was the model for this season’s high-waisted trouser pant with full flare at the leg. Made of 100% cotton, these retro-inspired pieces come in a kaleidoscopic range of colors including lawn green, sunflower yellow, cherry red and royal blue, as well as a super-cool bleached style for a modern twist. Offered in a range of light to heavyweight denim.

RAILROAD | A key style for the season, True Religion’s vintage-inspired denim is stretchy but soft with a worn-in feel and look obtained through an exclusive whiskering technique. The styles include a vest, short and cropped pant.

LEATHER | Biker jackets, sexy cropped pants and fringed vests worthy of a Wild West saloon to suit a true rocker.

BLEACHED, FADED WASH, AND TIE-DYE | The more experimental washes of the season come in a variety of fits, from skinny jeans to miniskirts.

POLKA DOT | A favorite of among top fashion editors, these au courant screen-painted pieces were created in daring shades of red, navy, gray and black.

PHOENIX | The key category for men, Phoenix incorporates chinos in overdyed washes and an updated slim-fitting silhouette. Embodying the rebel-may-care spirit, the chinos are less formal in ripped and distressed styles with relaxed denim underlay. Color once again is king, with the pants and cutoffs being produced in shades ranging from khaki and military green to mint and peony.

PHANTOM | Mirroring the important women’s category, the Cone Mills selvage denim exclusive is also offered in the men’s group. Made from a smaller roll of denim, this range includes white slim-fit jeans with white hardware and the new blue denim with distressed design and markings. All of which feature the customized inside red, white and blue seams.

COLOR | It’s not just for the girls! The men’s straight and slim-fit jeans and relaxed stretch corduroys are available in shades of pineapple yellow, bright red, pacific blue and limeade green.

BLEACH/RAILROAD | The more experimental washes are replicated in the men’s styles.
