How to Buy the Cheapest Jeans, Part Two

by Jaime on February 20, 2012

Missed something? Head to Part One of How to Buy the Cheapest Jeans and watch that video first!

For the bulletpoints:

1. Be Patient.
2. Know what you’re looking for.
3. Figure out what your trigger number is.
4. Remember: if it’s not right for you, it’s not a good deal. No matter the price.
5.  Quality vs. Quantity. Does it pass the PPW test?

Thanks to Pretty & Poor for the Price Per Wear Calculator – it saved me tons and tons of time!

Love,
JP

I struggle so much with buying denim (and well, everything) because my secret fear is that it will not work out in the long term no matter how much I pay so I just cheap out. The result is a lot of relatively cheap jeans and I hate my bootie in most of them.

The upside, the hubby convinced me to buy a pair of Born shoes because if they last (as everyone says they will) the ppw will be such a deal! It was still hard to pay that;).

I am so cheap;).

I love the ppw calculator!!! You are so right about the flinch monitor! I must pay attention to that more often.

This really hit home for me, I have been holding out for grey jeans and red and I bit the bullet today with the ruelala agave denim sale. I got the red ones and spent right at my trigger number. Thank you especially for the size guide!
