First thing’s first – I went a little crazy with the photoshoppery – I didn’t alter how they looked on me at all (because that would skew the product and I’m too honest for that), but I did label them. I know, I’m a dork.
Brand: rag & bone/JEAN (rag & bone’s denim-specific line)
Style: Midrise Twill Legging
Available at: Intermix (and IntermixOnline.com)
I tried on a – gasp! – size 25 in these and they fit with a slight bit of room. They are EXTREMELY stretchy – don’t kid yourself, these are not your traditional jeans. They are twill, as they say, so they have a lot of give. I normally recommend sizing up in your rag & bone styles (did you catch my earlier rag & bone denim review?) but go true to size on these. You’ll thank me later.
Now, I’m not entirely sure why these specific jeans were such an exclusive color because – as you can see above – there’s nothing all that amazing about them. They weren’t the leather ones that they have at Intermix, nor were they something super stellar. But, I am a r&b fan, and I am really splitting hairs.
Ready to see my self-portrait of my backside? (See, this is what happens when you have to take pictures of yourself in the dressing room. Nice job, me.) I was trying these (and a few other pairs) on recently during my trip to Chicago – my college roommate, Miriam, and I wandered into the store and ended up doing the stupidest thing ever – trying on clothes. We really hit the stupid jackpot when we each tried on $1,000 Herve Leger dresses. A word of advice: don’t do that.
Back to the review:
Pocket placement on these is actually fairly awesome – but that’s what I expect from rag&bone. The center seams are still awesome and these don’t awkwardly flatten my butt. Double win.
What are your thoughts about the pair – love ‘em or leave ‘em?
