I can’t tell you how excited I get about a beautiful wide leg jean – especially when it’s got a sweet throwback flavor to it, too. And, let’s be honest, no one does the throwback flare better than GUESS. Can’t be surprised by that one!
But there’s a new style on the block that just came out this summer. Her name is Brittney, and she is a stunner (to say the least!).
Ahhh wide flare. So beautiful!
I grabbed a pair of these beauties courtesy of GUESS, and I’ve worn them about six times (a pretty high number for me), loving them more each time than the last. They bring a little something extra to the table because they manage to be both trendy and conservative, fitting into both the workwear and weekend wear categories.
Plus, the Brittney Flare manages to avoid one of the common pitfalls of the throwback flare: she’s a higher rise, but not awkwardly high. Have you ever owned a pair of jeans that just sat… wrong? That’s how I am with anything that has a rise over 9″ – I look like I am wearing the worst pair of Mom Jeans ever. Somehow, I didn’t even touch that issue with the Brittney… which might be why I keep coming back.
