Denim Tips and Tricks: Paula’s Top Three Denim Miniskirts

by Jaime on May 28, 2011

Trifecta: a variation of the perfecta where a bettor wins by selecting the first three finishers of a race in the correct order of finish.

What can I say?  As we are all ramping up for summer weather, I decided, for some reason, I needed to categorize my denim skirts into a top three line up.  Ok, well, actually, I only have three…so at least they are all guaranteed a spot. Be that as it may, those of you who read my blogs know I prefer to get up close and personal with all of my denim.  So here goes…

Not surprisingly, my mini-skirt “collection” draws from my three favorite denim lines: AG – My Steadfast Love, Current/Elliott – My Burning Love and PRPS – My “Flavor of the Month” Fling.

Let’s break them down!

Number 3: Current/Elliott – Rolled Skirt in Worn – (Boyfriend cut into a skirt) (true size)

I know…. Third!  Please forgive me, C/E, for placing you third – I am sure it is only a temporary setback.  Truthfully, this skirt was my first go-to skirt… that is until my two recent acquisitions.

Number 2:  AG Adriano Goldschmied – Legend Denim Skirt in Fleetwood Light Wash (true size)

This skirt was the result of a sample sale impulse buy – you know the kind…”The sale is almost over!  My size just showed back up! It is so cheap… I can’t make it through my summer without it!”  I try to steer clear of such buys but, luckily, this one paid off.

Number 1:  PRPS Denim Skirt in Lightening Blue Medium (true size)

There is something about PRPS that makes me feel truly Bad A$#@ when I wear them (I am sure it is a personal issue…but there it is). However, even with the attitude endowed by PRPS, I am dubious as to whether I have the balls guts to wear this somewhat “micro” mini (but I have high hopes!) Only time and the hot summer sun will tell.

And since PRPS jeans is the grand prize winner, I thought it deserved a little detail pic… pretty cool, huh? (the skirt, of course, not my butt!)

Now, if Elizabeth and James would only see fit to sell me their TEXTILE Emma Maxi Skirt for a fraction (and I do mean fraction) of the cost I would be all set!!  (sigh…)
