What is more frightening than a guy in psychedelic zebra print harem pants asking, “I don’t have a library card but do ya mind if I check you out?”
Well, wearing white denim – of course! Be that as it may, when approached by Shop Adorn and Denim Debutante to try a pair of cute and wildly inexpensive ($64!!!) KUT from the Kloth Jeans, I took the dangerous route and chose the Audrey Skinny in – yup you guessed it – White (I was feeling feisty that day).
Now, let me first explain something about myself. As a Mom, Wife, Teacher, Blogger and all the little hats that go along with those esteemed positions, one thing is consistently of utmost importance to me… yup, that’s right: the maintenance of my “Chick-Card” (even though I am sure my husbands “Man-Card” has been permanently suspended after agreeing to accompany me to Twilight). Anyway, the integrity preservation of the Chick-Card is essential, and, in my opinion, fairly easy to secure by paying heed to a few simple rules:
- Never leave the house without wearing mascara
- Never go to the grocery store in pajamas
- Never, have anything to do with a mower… (umm, machine, that is …)
- Love your granny, but don’t wear her panties.
- And never, under any circumstances whatsoever, allow “Mom-Jeans” to come within wearable distance of your body lest they attempt to suck all the “chickness” right out of you.
So, you can see why I was so excited, while I awaited receipt of this wonderfully feminine pair of ankle-grazing, Audrey Hepburnish jean, to discover that not only did KUT from the Kloth promise to save women from the “Mom-Jean” epidemic (a worthy pursuit), but also that the jean would be fashionable, comfortable, and versatile. I was intrigued and anxious to put them to the test!
And test them I did! As in my other blogs, I will let the pictures speak for themselves as to the fashion and versatility of the Audrey Skinny. What I can say is that they get my vote! They are extremely comfortable, quite soft, and moved fluidly through all my “hat” changes. While after a few days wear they did stretch out a bit (if you are between sizes, go with your smaller size – I’m wearing a size 2 here), as you can see in the pics, I put them through the complete Chick trial. I styled them for work, weekend run around with the kids, weekend evening play with the hubby and, of course, since pjs are forbidden… the grocery store.
Grocery Store (I figure since I can’t wear pjs I might as well go for it!):

Details – I apologize in advance for any nightmares caused by this obscenely close up pic of my butt. However, as details are of utmost importance to me when purchasing denim, I wanted DD readers to see the delicately stitched pockets.
In conclusion, it is refreshing to experience affordable denim that really works. Thank you KUT from the Kloth for helping women everywhere to maintain the integrity of their Chick-Cards in a most stylish and affordable way. And thank you Shop Adorn and Denim Debutante for making possible the challenge of incorporating white denim into my everyday wardrobe!
PS – Stay tuned! We’ll be doing a giveaway for your very own pair of Kut from the Kloth jeans from Shop Adorn later today! It might be JP’s birthday, but you get to win something!
