Well, color me stupid. I mean, I love (like, truly love) Current/Elliott and I thought I knew most things about their denim and clothing. In addition, I had perused this particular C/E denim item on many a site and for many a months. Consequently, when I opened my most recent purchase of this specific item I was as shocked as a hairy guy in a room full of hot wax.
Ok, maybe not quite that shocked. However, when I ordered Current/Elliott – The Legging in Black, I thought they were, I don’t know, just really stretchy denim?? Thus explaining, The Legging moniker with the denimish price tag attached? But in reality, they were true to the name – go figure. Actual leggings with the silhouette of a denim cut and a zipper closure; thin cotton leggings, stretchy, soft and gratifyingly conforming.
Am I sorry I purchased them? Absolutely not, I love all C/E and these are so madly comfortable and, I think, flattering. They almost feel like I’m wearing nothing at all… except for, you know, without the uncomfortable stares.
Am I happy I paid a crazy cheap price as opposed to the more denim-ish price tag usually attached? Heck yeah!
Will I buy more? Definitely! But, only for a price close to my most recent purchase…and I may have to shun the lighter colors – not ALL contours are meant to be accentuated!
