I saw the Delgada Slim Fit in Sea Cliff Flex on Amazon a while ago, and was indecisive about getting them. Then Jaime’s post on the Agave jeans she tried, combined with a 20% off promotion from Amazon, convinced me to get a pair. And since I have Amazon Student, I got free two-day shipping!
I was so excited about these. I opened the package and right off the bat, I could feel how soft they were; these fit so comfortably! Amazon says they are a skinny, but they are more of a slim straight, in my opinion. The leg opening is about 12″. The inside tag says “La Delgada: Slim Fit – Cigarette Cut” which is more accurate. The rise is 7.5″ which is perfect for me. These fit True To Size and they are made of 30% cotton, 45% rayon, and 25% polyester, so they have a good amount of stretch in them. I’m happy with the fit – they haven’t bagged out and I’ve worn them a few times already.
As you can clearly tell from the pictures, these are wayyyy too long on me. The inseam is about 35″ and I am 5′ 2ish” so there is clearly a need to hem, but I wanted to show these jeans in their original state for this review. The fading on these jeans is really slimming, and it’s well done in a way that when I get them hemmed like five inches, I know that the fading won’t stop at a weird place on my legs.
I really like these back pockets, I feel like they flatter my derriere well, and the stitching design is simple, which is definitely a requirement in my book. Oh, and even though people will never see it the inside pocket bags are really cute, they’re printed with the agave plant as shown below.
These jeans fit really well in my true size, and coupled with its softness and attention to detail makes Agave a brand I’m definitely willing to try again. Check them out here and you can find out more about Agave’s jeans on the Denim Wiki, including cuts and washes.
