Fashion Editors’ Favorite Jeans for Fall

by Jaime on November 13, 2010

I loved this article from WhoWhatWear, so I really wanted to share a snippet of it for you guys. It’s about a week old, but since most people don’t seem to subscribe to WWW (and a week doesn’t really date the selections), it seemed like a great (and obviously very relevant) thing to post about.

I’m personally a big fan of Taylor Tomasi Hill, so here’s her excerpt:

Taylor Tomasi Hill / Marie Claire, Style & Accessories Director
My Lovely Jeans Trash Baggy Jeans (marked down to $120)

When selecting the perfect pair of jeans, there are always three things to consider: the cut, the wash, and how they fit. The order of importance is usually variable—depending on the wearer’s whims—but for Marie Claire‘s Taylor Tomasi Hill, one aspect takes top priority. “My denim philosophy is that ease and comfort are always best,” she says, which explains her adoration for the French brand My Lovely Jeans and their slouchiest denim option. “These boyfriend jeans are the perfect balance between style and effortlessness,” she says. “You can definitely wear them everyday.” That’s high praise from the much-photographed editor: don’t sleep on her advice! We encourage you to create a TTH-inspired outfit around these jeans, which means styling them with generous amounts of statement jewelry, wildly cool ankle boots, and the editor’s signature cat-eye sunglasses. We can’t promise you’ll become Tommy Ton’s new favorite or get your own thread on the Fashion Spot, but it’s a start.

I agree – I am very curious about My Lovely Jeans. Truthfully, the only thing holding me back from trying a pair is being unsure of the fit – tts? – runs small? If you ever come across any info regarding fit please please blog about it!!!
