I was lucky enough to get my hands on a stellar pair of Denim Leggings from Denimocracy (the Revolt Legging in Carbon) and took them to a recent photo shoot to be featured. They’re your basic legging style – tons of stretch, decent length and great fit on your backside - but with a couple extras that need to be pointed out and rewarded.
Oh, and if this brand sounds familiar, there’s a reason: we’ve written about them before and featured the Denimocracy Lookbooks.
First, a little background on this brand created by Angel Shoshan, taken from their Facebook Page:
Motivated by the leaders from yesterday, today, and tomorrow – Inspired from the arts of past, present, and future; we give you a Men’s and Women’s premium collection – “Premium Comfort” for the people, by the people.
The brand’s focus has been to bring back work to the United States. Everything from design, fabric, manufacturing, and wash is done in America. What better way to help tackle and contribute to resolving this “Economic Crisis” than to help your own brothers and sisters!
The brand’s been known for a bit of controversy in terms of their advertisements (if you’ve been to the website, you’ve seen them), but they actually have a quality product behind all that talk. It’s rare, I know, but I’ve been exceptionally pleased with these leggings since they first came into my life.
The denim leggings are just simply comfortable. They look good (a feat that I feel is fairly challenging for leggings), feel even better and have a ton of style versatility. As a big tunic fan, I tend to wear mine with them. But the cut is actually pretty workable for shorter tops, though I’d still remind you that they are, in fact, leggings, and should be worn as such.
And, to top it off, they’re under $100!
Check out the gallery below and share your thoughts. These definitely got wear after the photo shoot, so they’re a pair that works for me and my everyday lifestyle, too.
Big thanks to Brad for the photos!
