Denim Style Ideas from the Sartorialist

Shot from The Sartorialist featuring 18th Amendment Denim

I love looking at other style and fashion blogs – whether it’s for inspiration, or just to see what other people are doing with their looks – and while perusing yesterday, I came across a post from The Sartorialist featuring this casually sexy look. The showcase is definitely the light wash 18th Amendment jeans she’s rocking.

How did I know what brand of jeans these were?

Wow guys. It’s like we don’t even know each other. I own a pair of 18th Amendment jeans that I – GASP! – haven’t worn yet. There’s a good reason though… they have a 37″ inseam.

But I love the way she’s cut hers down and left a frayed seam. I’m not sure if I can do that with my pair (they’re kind of a slub cotton, so I’m not positive this style will translate right), but it’s a great idea of something to try.

And the best part was Scott Schuman saying this about her look:

So what is more important, fashion or style?

I attended a few fashion shows today and I have seen some very “fashionable” young ladies. But, they always come up short when compared to the young ladies doing their own thing.

I know what this season’s trends are suppose to be and this young lady doesn’t really fit into any of those forecasts and yet she really stood out from all the other pretty young things.

I’d take style over fashion any day. How about you?

Love,
JP

Love the look! I’m a big fan of the high waisted, wide leg jeans :)

Those are really cute and I love what she did with the hem, too. I have eyed this brand before, but they are little hard to find and I have wondered about the fit… how do they run – tts or no?
