It’s amazing how often I am asked what my favorite denim brands are… especially since their changing on such a regular basis. I’ve been lucky enough to do some great consulting for brands and sites – maybe one day, you’ll see a JP pair of jeans for a brand (or my very own line!) – and being able to see the ins and outs of what these brands are doing really changes your perspective. I find myself falling for brands that don’t just fit great and look amazing, but also have fantastic people working behind the scenes, a strong moral compass and willingness to keep learning more.
So, I decided to take a little time and go through my top five, one by one, and give you a chance to find out why I’m so passionate about each and every one.
Number Five: 7 For All Mankind.
What is it about 7FAM that really sets my heart aflutter? Maybe it’s the amazing comeback they’ve managed after a few years of stagnancy. Or maybe it’s their amazing ability to create a jean that can really, truly work for different body types.
All I know is that when I wear a pair of 7s, I feel sexy. I’m comfortable in my skin… and you can’t buy that kind of style. Plus, for a little background history: my first official pair of designer denim (I love you, Lucky Brand, but you don’t count on this list) came from 7FAM in 2003.
