People can get really, REALLY creative with denim. It’s the best canvas for your artistic flare… but, some people tend to take that to an undue extreme.
And those? Well, they make for a really crazy wreck.
This girl makes some wild stuff with denim, and posts it all on etsy. I’d have to assume her profit margin is pretty big (and, while her methods are questionable, she definitely has some artistic talent), since the prices can really be a bit obscene at times.
Some of the pairs are fun… not particularly my style, but definitely fun. This pair, however, is insane:
So, the waistband is cut off, hem is pulled out… but nothing compares to the freakish nature of those lace-up ribbon gaps on the back of the thigh. I’d have a panic attack every time I left the house!
Here’s what she said about these:
HAND PAINTED & EMBELLISHED with SATIN RIBBON CORSET LACING
SUPER LOW RISE jeans! Reclassified. Preworn, prewashed, FLAWLESS, GOT HEELS?! jeans. I like mine with champagne and my boyfriend!
These jeans have been stripped and then given new life to include BLEACHING, RIPS, PAINT, and SATIN RIBBON CORSETS.
I just see these and think “stripper”. How about you?
Love,
JP

Pretty bad… I love the slogan at the top of her page: “Making yourself into a living, breathing, ENVY TARGET!”
I think everything on that site is skanky. Kudos to her for having lots of confidence though.
That’s really how I feel about it too. I mean, sure… I could never wear it (and I’d probably do some judging of people who did), but at least she has the balls to make it and put herself out there.
Still. Yikes.

SNARKY COMMENT ALERT
but where in those super low rise jeans does she have room for her balls? maybe I don’t want to know.
… I see these and think “ham” for Sunday dinner!
clearly – creativity gone astray!
I like the lace-up jeans idea, but this pair just shows far too much skin…
