Would You Wear: Half-Pant Shorts?

by Jaime on May 12, 2010

I’m trying to figure out who would actually wear this. I think that’s my biggest issue.

So, here’s a little blurb from the post on NY Mag:

Bernhard Willhelm makes bottoms that are a pants-shorts fusion and cost $340. In theory, this would be the ideal garment for the transitional weather, when it’s too hot for pants but too cold for shorts.

I’m impressed that they could even justify this item. How can you, even in theory, go with “hey, it’s great for not too hot, not too cold weather!” and look at yourself in the morning?

And believe me, I’m even overlooking the camo. It’s hard… it really is.

So, my sweet, sweet readers, I need someone to either tell me that I’m crazy for thinking this can’t work, or agree with me. Because I just don’t get it.

Love,
JP

I think the person created it just for the press she’d get. f it’s too cold for shorts, one leg will be cold and if it’s took hot for pants, one leg will be hot. It doesn’t solve any problems.

Think of the money you’ll save only having to buy half the shaving cream though.

Absolutely hideous! And if a celeb wears something like that, you’ll know she’ll be featured in the “worst dressed” category of the gossip mags

I think this is one of those psychological experiments… as in, lets see what we can actually get people to wear.
