It’s not the 70′s anymore… but that doesn’t stop me from kind of loving the aesthetic of the era. Of course, loving an aesthetic only goes so far when you see yourself looking like a tool in an item.
And I really, REALLY don’t like to look like a tool, guys. I know, you’re probably surprised by that, but it’s true. Crazy, huh?
There are some styles that look good on an eight year old, and once you pass that age frame, they should be erased from your memory. And that’s why this:
… is just so wrong. I have an eight year old cousin who would absolutely adore them. She is not, however, a European size 28, so we’re kind of missing something. Oh, and I don’t think she has $80 to drop on them either.
Here’s how the designer describes these etsy darlings:
These jeans are great for a night out or to dress up any outfit. Green Flair at the bottom are soft and float as you walk. Each flair is beaded at the top. Back pockets have embellished hand beaded details that tie in with the bottom flairs.
I was going to put “[sic]” in every time she called the flare a “flair”, but it was more than I thought, so just know they’re FLARES. Awesome, glad we’re on the same page.
So… what do YOU think?
Love,
JP

lolol
I think that when I find the worst wreck thus far, the entire thing will just have a picture of it and all I’ll say is “lolol”.
You’re my inspiration, Paula.

cool!! you are the best jp! I just didn’t not know what else to say about that beauty.
I don’t know what’s funnier: the jeans, or the comments they elicit.
I actually saw similar made jeans at an art co-op in Saugatuck. The bell bottom portion was more straight leg, but it definitely wasn’t denim, and it looked more like a table cloth from the 1950′s or something. Very odd.
All in all, those BB’s scare me!
