Some people are ballsy when it comes to their style, and they tend to pull it off with ease. While that’s not me (which most of you probably know by now), I think that there’s definitely something impressive about people who can try something totally new and different.
But, I can still judge something that’s ugly and/or not totally constructed. Like this:
I’m not going to come out and totally say that this is poorly constructed, but it is falling apart at the bottom… and I don’t think that was the intent.
Here’s what this etsy designer said about her piece:
Comfortable yet sassy, casual yet sophisticated, common yet unusual, this skirt embodies contrast. Wear it out Friday night or to work on Monday and you will look great. This gorgeous denim skirt is constructed from a pair of Levi jeans and men’s neckties. Trim ties are hand stitched to skirt to enhance its quality and beauty.
This particular skirt is made from a pair of Levis that were loved…alot. There are a few worn holes, but they just add to the coolness of the skirt.
So, she took an old skirt, attached some ties to it, and then thought she could charge almost $130 for it. Yikes.
What do you guys think about this one?
