There’s no more snow on the ground and we’re over sixty degrees. So, that means today marks the start of a few fun Spring/Summer 2010 series here at DenimDebutante.com: The Best Denim Shorts and the Best Summer Denim for Men and Women. We’ll be introducing you to some new brands as well as showing you what’s coming up from some of your favorites.
To kick the Shorts Series off, I really want to introduce you to Level 99’s Summer Chambray Roll-Ups. I know that I’ve been anti-Chambray in the past, but there are some huge benefits to the fabric, especially for the warmer seasons: it’s light (perfect for summer), forgiving and extremely comfortable.
And not only does Level 99 do it well, they offer these at a price even your wallet can love! The Chambray Roll-Up is only $58 at Anthropologie.com – and exclusively at Anthropologie – so you don’t need to go broke on your shorts.
My favorite parts about these shorts (other than the price, of course)? The Roll-Up style is extremely in right now, and it’s a look that many of you can pull off, especially if you’re not very comfortable with short shorts (I prefer cuffs because they prevent any “thigh overflow” at the bottom of your shorts).
Whether you wear these on the beach or for your latest Staycation, Level 99 has definitely hit a home run with this style. Fit-wise, you’ll want to go True to Size (on the site, they go from 25-32, so there’s a decent range) and I’d avoid wearing them with heels – these are casual shorts!
What do you think – love ‘em, hate ‘em… can’t live without them? Share your thoughts in the comments!
