Okay, we all know I’m excitable. But, when one of my old-school favorite brands (and C.’s all-time favorite brand), Paper Denim & Cloth, makes a comeback, how can I not get a little psyched?!?
And, here’s your added bonus: they’re all priced at $100 or less! National Jean Co. (NJCo., for short) has bought every style from the new line and now has them available for sale! Here’s what they have to say about the brand:
paperdenim&cloth, started in 1999 as a premium denim brand, is emerging once again as an important label for the customer who appreciates authenticity, quality and understated style. The flattering shapes continue to speak to the contemporary customer, as do the soft hand vintage washes, and the acute attention to detail.
This reintroduction of the product for Spring 2010, takes into consideration all of the important factors that are inherent in the brand building, especially the iconic “J” stitch back pocket, white labels, printed inside pockets and inner numeric sizing. The legacy of the brand reaches far and wide. The new era of paperdenim&cloth has an added stimulus…the jeans are repriced for today’s challenging market.
There is a wide berth of washes and the important silhouettes from skinny to boot cut. This collection is well worth your consideration in this important brand re-launch.
I don’t know if you’ve owned Paper Denim & Cloth jeans before, but I have (and still own two pairs… I think C.’s down to three of his original five) and I positively adored them. I can’t be 100% sure of the changes that have occurred with the style, fit or cut – before they crashed out, I heard whispers of some extremely small fits, though I have a feeling that’s been worked out from reading the fit guides on NJCo. – but from my personal experience, this is one of the best brands at that price point.
But, we’re going to make it a little better! What kind of Denim Debutante would I be if I didn’t?!?! National Jean Company has offered to give an exclusive code to DD readers: get 20% off all purchases on NJCo. through March 26th with DenimDeb20!
So, even if you grab the most expensive pair of PD&Cs, they’ll only set you back $80. Wear them 40 times (I average around 60-400 wears, depending on the brand, but I’m trying to be conservative), and that’s $2/wear… less than a latte!
Let me know if you get a pair, and how much you love them. Hopefully, I’ll get my hands on some of the new ones soon and can do a full review for you!
