J Brand and Proenza Schouler Collaborate On Exclusive Jeans ForFall/Winter 2010(New York) –February 18, 2010 – Proenza Schouler debuted a Fall 2010 exclusive denimcollaboration with J Brand jeans at the Proenza Schouler Fall/Winter 2010runway show on Wednesday, February 17th at 8:00PM in New York. This one seasoncollaboration marks the first ever jean produced by Proenza Schouler.“For fall 2010we are exploring ideas closer to home. Urban elements are important as is theidea of uniforms. Denim fits the bill as the most ubiquitous item in mostpeople’s wardrobe. Proenza Schouler will for the first time, explore thisclassic element, never-the-less infusing it with the Proenza SchoulerDNA,”said Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler.Keeping in line withthe classic J Brand fit and aesthetic, and the Proenza Schouler modernsilhouette, the collaboration is highlighted by a denim and blackgraphic-printed, exaggerated high-rise skinny jean featured on the runway. Thejean is made of 11-ounce Japanese stretch denim. Once the jean is printed, itis hand painted all over to accentuate texture and dimension.“We areextremely excited to work with Lazaro and Jack.
