Okay, let me just start with this: I love Red Engine. I love what the brand is, I love the feel of their denim (I have a pair of the Zinnia Bermuda Shorts that I just can’t get enough of!) and it’s all just so much fun… so, I thought I’d share the fun with you. Here are some images from their Spring 2010 collection, including their to-die-for Burner jeans!
A little intro from their fabulous marketing director, Kim Harlan:
I don’t really do a formal “lookbook” because the line is constantly in motion, and we don’t necessarily present by season. We love to keep things fluid, and when we see something new and fabulous coming out of the European or Japanese boutique denim mills we work with, we grab it and pop it right into development. Because we create the line entirely here in Los Angeles (actually, all within about 1 square mile from design to cutting/sewing to washing and then back here to our corporate offices/warehouse for shipping), we can react SUPER quickly and get new fabrications/fits/washes into the marketplace SUPER fast. Which brings me to my current favorite denim subject: amazing new SUPER stretch denims we’ve just begun rolling out!
Red Engine has achieved cult-status among denim connoisseurs who demand the very best from a pair of jeans.
The line retails at $158 – $190 in better specialty boutiques nationwide including Fred Segal-Santa Monica, E Street Denim- Chicago, Coup de Coeur-NYC, By George-Austin, as well as Lord & Taylor, MyTrueFit.com, Jeans.com, and Piperlime.com.
So, would you wear these styles? Have you tried Red Engine before (or, if you haven’t, would you like to now)?
I’m practically drooling over the Burner in Storm… It’s a different shade of blue that really gets me excited!
