You don’t think about where your jeans come from… just that they’re on your butt and you look good.
Think again. CBS News showed this video on Sunday, August 2, and I think it’s something you all should think about the next time you step into a pair of Gap or Levi’s Jeans.
On top of this, for Levi’s to make “one pair of 501’s required almost 920 gallons of water, 400 megajoules of energy and expelled 32 kilograms of carbon dioxide. Levi’s said this was equivalent to running a garden hose for 106 minutes, driving 78 miles and powering a computer for 556 hours.” It’s affecting all of us, not just Africa.
What do you think?
Love,
JP
