When it comes to fetishes, I tend to run the gamut on what I love, and (other than denim, of course), it changes frequently. It goes from makeup (oh god, don’t get me started on NARS Orgasm blush and the people I and my friends have talked into buying it) to shoes (which is how I ended up with a pair of Tod’s loafers and some Manolos) to books (which, courtesy of my English degree, I doubt I’ll ever give up).
But, for this moment (and courtesy of a dear friend of mine, Kristy), I’m all over perfume.
After sending me a kit of about 50 testers, I’m through approximately a third… and I haven’t yet found one I dislike. This girl is a scent genius. Today’s scent (pictured above) is Serge Lutens Cedre. It’s a bit spicy, a bit sweet (the tuberose, I assume, is pulling that out) and really sexy. C. isn’t a fan, but it’s a bit woodsy for his taste.
However, there’s more to this blog than just raving about how amazing I’ve been smelling these past two weeks or so (and, believe me, I’ve been smelling damn good). Kristy will be (when I can convince her to get some free time) pairing her favorite perfumes with some sexy pairs of denim. Think of it as a cross between scent and style.
In the interim, if you want to read more of Kristy’s stuff, you can find her over on the extremely popular Specktra. It’s more than worth a couple of minutes of your time, especially if you really love perfume.
