Now, that’s a mouthful!
About the Pair:
If there were a denim brand that specialized in making butter, J Brand would be it, because that’s what these babies feel like. I’ll go more into the brand at a later post, but good god. The color is rich and for some reason I look at it and see crayon… it’s just that kind of teal-y goodness. Maybe Robin’s Egg Blue crayon. I don’t know.
I’m sidetracking again. But, listen. These are perfect, particularly if you want a slightly cropped look (if you’re around average height like me). I wouldn’t recommend pairing them with socks and bowling shoes (been there, done that accidentally) but with a pair of flats (I’m partial to this really cheap, really cute pair of strange flats from Rocket Dog) and a basic top, these are pretty much ideal.
The only thing that kind of sucks is that I’m really, really not used to low cut jeans. As it turns out, my opinion of midrise is about 8-9 inches. So, I’ll do a couple crunches just to appease my mind and soul, but these babies will still be worn heavily throughout the summer. They’re my idea of a perfect example of jeans as individuality: not too different, but enough so that C. doesn’t make fun of me for owning 17 pairs of the exact same wash.
