How NOT to Store Your Denim (Part One)

So, we have a guest staying here for an extended period of time (actually, in all reality, we've had guests here rotating in and out since the beginning of May) so I've been kind of... well, I've been kicked out of my second closet. C.'s uncle is kickass and lets us stay here, rent-free, while C. is going to school, and has given us more than enough room to roam (ah, the benefits of a bachelor making a good living). I cook, C. cleans, and we get our own little bathroom, bedroom and office.

And I had the guest room closet. I'm sure you see the dilemma by now.... too many clothes, not enough places to put them. And that ends up with this:

Yes, that's the corner of my bedroom. And it's a dreadful way to store what is, at the least, about $1k worth of jeans (and it's sad, because that's only a small portion). But what else am I supposed to do?

Yeah yeah, I know. I should build some closet space and get rid of some clothes (because really, I already tried asking C. if I could steal his closet. Didn't work.) that I just don't wear anymore.

Sigh. What's a girl to do?

As just a side note: the outpouring of support for me has been absolutely amazing. You girls are seriously (and amazingly) kickass, and I absolutely appreciate everything you've done and everything you've said.

Love,
JP

This does look sad! My current closet is way too small and I am forced to put things all on the floor of it. Of corse sometimes I get lazy and the floor of my closet just ends up being a pile of clothes:(

Storage bins are great (thin ones that can slide under a bed!)

You should probably keep a crate of Girl Scout Cookies with the denim. Just for times when you need thin mints (for me, that is all the time).

I had to take over one of the upstairs closets!
